Day 01 - Melbourne, Australia

Melbourne is the capital city of Victoria. It maintains an air of old-world grace and refined dignity with spacious tree-lined boulevards and expansive parks. The prosperous lifestyle of its people is both cosmopolitan and sophisticated. Quaint trams rumble through the downtown area past verdant gardens and impressive high-rises, in a city that has never lost its endearing charm. The heritage of more than 100 different cultures has contributed to Melbourne’s richly international character. This diverse ethnic mix is exemplified by its range of 15,000 dining venues which offer more than 50 different kinds of cuisine. Melbourne’s sightseeing is as diverse as it is composition and beckons for your discovery.

Day 02 - King Island, Tasmania, Australia

Located in the middle of the Bass Strait off the northwest coast of Tasmania, surrounded by a rugged coastline, King Island – or “KI” as the locals call it – enjoys a reputation as home to fabulously fresh seafood as well as some of the world’s cleanest air. Great nature walks reveal the island’s famously good produce, culture and unique wildlife, including the elusive platypus and rare orange-billed parrots. Kite surfers, wave riders and scuba divers the world over are drawn here to play.

Day 03 - Cruising the Bass Strait

The capital of South Australia, Adelaide straddles the Torrens River on a narrow plain between the Mt. Lofty Ranges and the blue waters of the Gulf of St. Vincent, boasting a profusion of gardens, playgrounds, sporting fields and colorful flower beds. Affectionately known as the “City of Churches,” the combination of verdant parklands and stately buildings imbue this prosperous center with enduring grace and character.

Just minutes from Australia’s mainland, with an ambience that feels a million miles away, Kangaroo Island or “KI”, as the locals call it, is home to many incredible wildlife and nature preserves that have earned the island the nickname, where the wild things are. Australia’s third largest island, after Tasmania and Melville Island, it is a veritable playground for all manner of recreation, revered for its exceptional produce, laid-back, rural lifestyle, and ever-visible kangaroo population.

Day 06 - Port Lincoln, Australia

Nestled on the Eyre Peninsula in South Australia, with access to the glistening waters of Spencer Gulf and the Great Australian Bight, Port Lincoln is more than a playground for yachting, snorkeling, and scuba diving. The port is home to Australia’s largest commercial fishing fleet, and as the “Seafood Capital of Australia,” many restaurants and cafés offer the chance to sample fresh-caught delicacies. Nearby Lincoln National Park, with its rare flora and fauna, attracts nature lovers.

Located just off the coast of southwestern Victoria, Australia, in Stingray Bay, the small, rugged Middle Island, part of the Recherché Archipelago, serves as a wildlife sanctuary where Maremma sheepdogs have been enlisted to protect the island’s breeding colonies of little penguins from invasive foxes. The surrounding turquoise and sapphire-blue waters are the perfect contrast to the island’s crown jewel: Lake Hillier, a beguiling body of water possessing a brilliant pink hue.

Day 09 - Albany, Australia

A beautifully rugged coastline sets the stage for the extraordinary scenery in this charming old whale town and former military post. Be sure to explore the fifty or so colonial buildings that today serve as museums, galleries and restaurants. Take a walk through Torndirrup National Park or along the Middleton Beach boardwalk trail, and keep an eye out for whales off shore.

Day 10 - Busselton, Australia

Founded by the cattle-ranching Bussell family in 1832, this pioneering town is today known as cheery beach resort regarded for its 1.2-mile-long wooden pier, the world’s longest. See National Trust and Heritage-listed properties in town, and venture farther inland to explore the scenery of the Margaret River Wine Region and the eucalyptus canopy of Tuart Forest National Park, host to one of the rarest forests in the world.

At 20,000 tons, the all-suite Crystal Endeavor is the world’s largest and most spacious luxury expedition yacht, equally boasting some of the largest, most spacious suites in all of expedition cruising.

Fares listed are cruise-only, per person in US dollars based on double occupancy and do not include taxes, fees and port charges, which vary by departure. Available on new bookings when booked by April 30, 2019.

Each Crystal Endeavor itinerary balances days at sea with scheduled ports of call, and is intentionally designed to be flexible, allowing the Captain and his team of experts to incorporate unplanned “expedition days” when favorable weather conditions invite the opportunity for uncommon discovery. The Expedition Team will maintain a keen eye so that if an opportunity arises, is permitted and conditions allow, the Captain will attempt to position the vessel accordingly. The order of expedition calls/stops and/or itineraries may change due to weather/sea conditions or permit specifications. At all times, itineraries and ports of call are subject to the Captain’s sole discretion. Zodiac use and/or landings, wildlife sightings and wilderness highlights on any itinerary cannot be guaranteed. Kindly note that children under the age of 6 are not permitted aboard the Zodiacs. Use of submersible, complimentary marina equipment and helicopter is based on each destination’s local rules and regulations and in the sole discretion of the Captain.
